Meet Ali Elly
With a background in textile design, Ali works from her studio on the Northumberland coastline. She is an environmental artist, inspired by life in the chaotic underwater world she connects to scientific narrative. Approaching her art through observation and an appreciation of the blue planet we live on.
With an emphasis on illustration she enjoys exploring the aesthetics of many marine species, translating their natural movements and patterns to build bold designs. She is active in the arts community and admits to being obsessed with the colour blue.
Her passion for conservation helps make each design begin an interesting conversation.
