Finding Chewy’s design features 3 characters who have entered his world, all “wearing” a set of masks that help represent their own characteristics. Finding Chewy’s world embodies self expression and the idea of wearing our masks on the outside. The Japanese glyphs stand for “Uragaeshi” (which is the name of Finding Chewy’s world) and means “inside out”. The character in the middle has a mirrored face so that people can stand and see themselves as the character, and interpret their own meaning on what the masks might mean to them. The artist likes creating these “totem” style characters, and the lighthouse sculpture would be a really exciting way to show them off.
