Olivier Jamin is an award-winning contemporary deaf artist who presents a playful design optimising the unusual dimensions of the sculpture, eye catching from afar with its bright pop-art style colours and sweeping contours. The changing colour scheme invites visitors to look at the sculpture from each side, catching a new view with every new angle. The artist- Olivier wanted to create a spiral flow around the lighthouse, in contrast to the usual block columns often found on this type of building, the helix form being inspired by fairground helter skelters and circus patterns.
