Associated British Ports (ABP)
ABP is the operator of the Port of Southampton, and also operates 21 ports across the UK.
Southampton is one of the UK’s leading vehicle handling ports. As Europe’s leading turnaround cruise port, Southampton welcomes around two million passengers annually to its five cruise terminals, including the new Horizon Cruise Terminal, and is home to the UK’s first shore power facility for cruise ships. The port is also home to the UK’s second largest container terminal.
Associated British PortsAbout the partnership
“At the Port of Southampton, we are proud to sponsor the Light the South Art Trail in support of the Southampton Hospitals Charity.
The trail is a great way to engage both local residents and visitors to Southampton and Cowes, encouraging us all to explore the City and the Island this summer, raising money for Southampton Children’s Hospital at the same time!
ABP is the owner and operator of the Port of Southampton, we are also the local lighthouse authority, so it seems fitting that we will have our own model lighthouse in addition to the 300 illuminated buoys and other navigational markers which are in place to support safe operations for shipping through our harbour district.”
